People who commit racial hate crimes should be sent to prison because in the article about a San Fransisco man assaulted a black man and yelled racist slurs at him. Then he walked over and tapped him on his shoulder and when the black man turned around the white man punched him in the face and knocked him unconscious for 30 seconds. After driving away he was arrested by police. His lawyer stated that he slugged the black man after he pointed at him and made impolite comments towards him. He was then sent to jail and to be sentenced on June 10 of 2010.
Some people do have racist actions because some body says or does something to them first.
